CARWASH Fundraiser at Applebees, AUGUST 8th from 8 AM til Noon.
Rain date is August 15th.

This is a team-bonding event and all players who are in town are expected to participate.  Money raised from this event will help purchase "game-day" Raider Wear for all players, so lets all contribute to make this successful!

Carwash format.  To ensure a profitable event, we have copied the Boy's team format which raised them over $1500 last year! We will pre-sell tickets to the carwash and each player must commit to selling 5 tickets.  Additional profits will be made as we capture "drive-by" traffic going to Lowe's, Pathmark & Kohl's on Saturday morning.

Tickets. Cost of the carwash is $5 for cars, $7 for vans & SUV's.  Players can pre-sell them to family, neighbors and their friends in town who drive.  Tickets have been printed and will be distributed to the players at the Monday night Summer League and Captains' Practices.
IMPORTANT: Anyone whose daughter is not present at these two events to receive their tickets need to e-mail Carwash Chair, John Rossi to arrange ticket pick up.  Payment for your 5 tickets is due before or on the day of carwash.

Volunteers.
Players: We need all players who are available on Saturday, August 8th to e-mail John Rossi to sign up so he knows who to expect.  Let John know if you can work the SET UP shift (7:30 - 10:00) or the CLEAN UP shift (9:45 - 12:30).
Parents: We need 6-10 parents to help for each shift.  Please e-mail John Rossi to sign up.

Supplies.  We need families to donate the following carwash supplies.  Please e-mail John Rossi to sign up for what you can bring.  After the event, we need 2-3 parent volunteers to wash and dry the used towels so they can be stored and used again next year.
* Drying towels (lots of old bath/beach towels)
* Hoses w/ nozzles
* Ladders & step stools for vans & SUV's
* Wash buckets
* Sponges
* Liquid Carwash soap
* Folding table for taking payments

PLEASE CONTACT JOHN ROSSI IMMEDIATELY SO WE ARE PREPARED FOR AUGUST 8th.

Explanation of Captains' Practices

1) Captains' Practices are set up and organized by the captains only.  Coach Best is not involved.
2) These practices take place typically in the month of July only.  August starts preseason activities.
3) Captains' Practices are scheduled around the captains' availability.
4) The days and times can be pre-set (like every Wed. & Fri from 9-10:30) or a last minute notice (tomorrow at 9).
6) Captains decide who gets invited.  Some Captain's Practices may be used for "varsity bonding" only, and others will be open to all players.
5) Captains prefer to use "kid-friendly" technology ONLY to announce their practices, such as Facebook, text messaging and good ole' "word of mouth".

If you have NOT yet been personally contacted by one of the captains, Seniors Becca Erdman & Kelly Nagel and Junior Nina Barbieri, You can contact them through Facebook or e-mail Coach Best for their contact info

Captain Practice details:
Meet at the high school, on the side of the gym by the grass fields 10 minutes prior to scheduled time.

This year's HHS LADY RAIDER ALUMNI GAME is scheduled for Monday, July 27, 6 PM on the HHS turf field.

The Alumni Game is a summer tradition of inviting HHS soccer alumni back to the stadium turf to play a game with the current high school players. Players meet on the turf at 6 PM, teams are created and a fun game is played. Optional player participation. This event is run by Coach Best and requires no volunteers. Parents are invited to attend. Spread the word (Players, send out invites thru Facebook) to any Lady Raider alumni you know.  The event is a lot of fun, and a great way to see old HHS graduates again! Incoming Freshmen- although you are not eligible to play in this game, please come watch and see how fun it is!

06.17.09

At this year's SOCCER CENTER'S HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER LEAGUE, the Lady Raider coaches have decided to give all incoming freshmen, non-varsity sophomore and non-varsity junior players a chance to "show their stuff". These non-varsity players will be the only players involved in Summer League.

Last year's varsity players are unfortunately excluded from the summer league.  Only a handful of varsity players registered in time, and since they have history with the coaching staff and with the depth of underclassmen talent, the coaches felt it best to give the non-varsity players a chance to be seen.

VARSITY PLAYERS, contact treasurer Lisa Troeller [ lisatroeller@yahoo.com ] for reimbursement options.
1) return or tear up your check
2) apply $50 check to this fall's $65 Booster Club payment
